First, a wonderful package came from Elizabeth in Washington State, USA. It included this beautiful baby quilt, made by the talented Elizabeth from a funky, modern pattern and using the same Noah's Ark themed fabric that we bought to make Anastasia's bedroom curtains.
On the back of the quilt, Elizabeth embroidered our choice of quotation: "After the flood, all the colours came out." It's from our favourite band, U2, whose lyrics and music, shot through with Christian theology, have inspired us over the past decade.
Also included was this lovely, quilted play mat, made from the same fabric as the wall hanging in Anastasia's room.
Another parcel arrived from Eva in Germany, containing this fantastic onesie - with bold stripes in colours that make it feminine yet not "too pink" or "too princessy." It suits our taste exactly - thanks, Eva! And check out the cheery bag she had wrapped it in...Then the parcels started arriving from our native province, way over on the distant east coast of Canada - New Brunswick. First came this self-designed cross-stitch tapestry, made by Steve's mom, Nellie.
And then came a parcel from Steve's uncle and aunt, James and Ruth, containing this pretty outfit. Also with this outfit is pictured a little Winnie the Pooh hat from Julie's friend, Jenny, in Germany.
Thank you, everyone, for all the lovely gifts, prayers and good wishes for Anastasia!
