Good Year for Steve's teams

This morning, Steve is basking in the glow of the NBA title won by his favourite team, the Dallas Mavericks.
He has been a Mavs fan a long time - all through the dismal early 90s when they flirted with losing the most games in league history.
So it's all the more sweet to celebrate their first title today!

Of course, Steve has enjoyed cheering some of his other favourite teams that have done very well in the past year.

• In the CFL (Canadian Football League) his Saskatchewan Roughriders have played in the Grey Cup 2 years in a row. Sure, they lost both times, but oh so close. And they did win it all in 2007.
• In baseball, his favourite National League team is the San Fransisco Giants, who won the World Series last year! (we won't talk about his other favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays, after the rough weekend they had...)
• He's called the Vancouver Canucks his favourite hockey team, ever since living in Vancouver in the late 90s. And they have a chance to win the Stanley Cup tonight, if they beat his brother Chris' fave team, the Boston Bruins.

Here's hoping all the success won't go to his head!
